Goldblatt to open two new department stores in Seattle

Goldblatts, the Seattle-based department store chain, announced Wednesday that it will open two additional department stores within the city of Seattle.

The stores will be located in the area of 15th Avenue South and Broadway in West Seattle.

“The Goldblats have been very supportive of the West Seattle Neighborhoods Initiative, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the area,” said Goldblatta’s CEO Michael McCaulou.

“Seattle is known for having great food, great entertainment and great people, so the opportunity is very exciting to me.”

Goldblatts is one of the biggest grocery chains in the country and operates 7,000 stores in 27 countries.

It plans to open at least one store in each of the following cities: Seattle, Tacoma, Lynnwood, Bellingham, Issaquah, Issac, Redmond, Everett and Tacoma.

The Goldblaats will be the third department store in the Seattle area, following Safeway and Costco.

Goldblotts was founded in 1882 and has a long history of serving its customers by providing the finest in fresh food and merchandise.

The chain began in the West Coast in the late 1930s and now operates more than 8,000 retail locations in 26 countries.
