New stores to open in Wilmington department store
NEW YORK — New stores will open in stores around the country this summer, but not in the iconic department stores of the 1960s.
The New York Post reported Tuesday that some of the stores are already planned for sale, with the biggest one expected to open at the end of August.
There are a handful of retailers already planned to open on Saturday and Sunday.
Some of the smaller stores are expected to reopen on Friday, with others on Tuesday.
A spokeswoman for Macy’s, the nation’s largest department store chain, confirmed the news but did not comment on the potential locations.
Macy’s declined to comment on whether it plans to open any stores on the West Coast, saying only that they are in talks with local officials about opening locations.
